That light never hit quite right in my room on your face
It never stretched out or filled up the space
It never got in my way
That light never hit quite right, and it never stayed lit
Even when my thoughts started to creep in
And they watched me sleep
I can see you on the dancefloor
Moving like you always wanted
I can see you in his bedroom
Moving like I want you to
My hands shake like their secret's out
I think things people don't talk about
Like how I'd kill you in my bedroom
And hide you in the walls just to see if you'd talk
But I'm trying to stay calm
I'm surprised I kept my head this long
I'm surprised I kept my head
Always thought this was an interesting spin off from hail the sun and this album plus the self title is some good shit! I met Donovan Melero in person and while I think the popularity has gone to his head, the drummer and base are cool guys! Neo
Certainly a controversial direction for the band, but this album ultimately rests as my favorite from TTNG. The technical mastery of their previous albums is still present here along with some very thought provoking and philosophical lyrics. I may not always agree with the lyrical messaging, but this is an album which rewards careful listening. Syobnaf
Brilliantly unhinged hardcore-inspired songs that splinter expectations to smithereens with their split-second rhythm changes & wild vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 28, 2022
A heavy blend of post-rock and shoegaze from Argentina's Ox en Mayo Alto rides big emotional crests and contemplative valleys. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 27, 2021
The beginning riff set you up for a journey some people aren't ready for. This album is a masterpiece, I accidentally bought it twice but I'd buy it a third time ameier
